THE DETROIT OF ASIA

Chennai is the auto industry hub of India. It is a highly developed metropolitan city with many breathtaking places to see. How can it also be the auto industry hub of India? First of all, Chennai has not one, not two but 3 ports across 60 kilometres. One at Chennai and the other two at Ennore and Kattupalli respectively.    This allows the auto manufacturing companies to easily export their vehicles to South East Asia. This stretch of 60 kilometres is called the Automotive hub of India. Secondly, the Tamil Nadu government provides many perks for the companies to set up their manufacturing plants. Some of the perks include tax incentives and providing large amounts of land. This is similar to Hyderabad, where the Telangana government provided large amounts of land to IT companies at dirt-cheap prices. Chennai also has the advantage of having many engineering colleges. This allows auto manufacturing companies to easily hire employees on a large scale. When seeing these many adv...

What am I?

Image
What am I? When I eat it, I feel like I have taken a cold plunge in the Arctic. The sweet taste gives me a great feeling when it dissolves in my mouth. Its soft and smooth texture, along with its marvellous taste, makes people's mouths water. Its bright yellow colour shines as bright as the Sun. It is a paradise that distracts people from the miseries in summer. It can be considered as the best fruit to have ever existed. This sweet delicacy chills my body though it is roughly only the size of a cricket ball. The saccharine fragrance of the fruit wafts up people's noses and makes them crave it. It makes you want to pierce your teeth into it and reap the amazing flavours that make you cry with tears of joy. The fruit is also used to make delicious pickles. The sweet taste mixed with spiciness and sourness from the added spices creates a taste none can imagine. It turns into the seventh heaven. It slips down my throat at ease and gives a surreal feeling of drinking cool water in...

The journey to the Seventh Heaven

Image
In the small, humble town of Ahobilam, an ancient Narasimha temple stands tall, catching everyone's eyes. The journey to the temple is a blessing in itself. It involves a short but adventurous trip to the Ahobilam temple, and then the long and exciting trek to the mountains begins. It involves travelling through the light Nalamalla Forest, filled with numerous little creatures, most importantly monkeys. People are given bamboo sticks to defend themselves against the 'terror' within the forest.  The Krodha temple blesses us with its presence first after a long and adventurous walk through the uneven terrain of the forest. We pray to the deity of Lord Narasimha and move on to the next temple- Jwala. Jwala is a sight for sore eyes. It has an impeccable look and is extravagant and beautiful. An alluring waterfall awaits us in front of the temple, showering us with cool and refreshing water. Jwala also has a deity of Lord Narasimha and the devotees who travel to see him, pray ...

Hyderabad's Geography

Hyderabad is a diverse, metropolitan city. Its geography is also very interesting. In this post, I will be talking all about Hyderabad's geography. Hyderabad's Geography The water sources in Hyderabad include the Osman Sagar lake, Hussain Sagar lake, Musi river, Alwal lake, Durgam Cheruvu etc.  Unfortunately the water from the Hussain Sagar and the Musi river are polluted and therefore cannot be used as drinking water. The city gets water mainly from the Krishna river, Nagarjuna Sagar dam and the Singur dam which are located upstream on the Krishna river. Hyderabad also received drinking water from the Manjra river, the Godavari river and the Osman Sagar lake. The water received by Hyderabad is sufficient for all the residents. URBAN PLANNING Urban planning in Hyderabad is done by many government organizations and the most notable ones out of them are HMDA which takes care of the planning of the city layout and GHMC which takes care of municipal activities. All of these gover...

World Peace

What would have happened if Archduke Franz Ferdinand never got shot? What would have happened if both the world wars never happened? We would have achieved global peace. What is peace? How are we living in peace now? Peace has a different meaning to different people. According to me, peace refers to being free of worries. When we are certain of something, we will be free of worries. We live in peace now as we live in a civilised space where we are certain of the basic amenities, food, water, shelter and security. Only when there is peace can we see a development in other fields such as arts. But, not everyone has the privilege of peace. Internal and international conflicts have disrupted the peace of millions of life and are making them suffer. We as individuals must take action to stop this. We can spread awareness on the devastating effects of war and encourage organisations to spread awareness on non violence. Peace is necessary for an individual to live a good and healthy life....

What is Crohn's and how can it be caused.

Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease. It causes swelling of the tissues in the digestive tract. It causes severe pain in the abdomen, you lose a lot of weight, you will have fever and fatigue, you will also get diarrhea and the loss of appetite.  There is no information about the causes and the cure for the disease.    Medicines such as steroids or immunosuppressants can slow down the growth of Crohn's or even stop it from progressing in your body. But if the medication fails to work then surgery is required.  Crohn’s affects the end of the small intestine and the start of the colon. We should not consume alcohol, carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate and corn. Crohn’s is not a very serious disease but the person having Crohn’s will face a lot of pain and inconvenience. A person’s intestine with Crohn’s will have thick walls, rough surface and a lot of fat wrapping. While having Crohn’s it is best to stay indoors and let your body rest. My hypot...

The European Union

Everyone knows what the European union is. If not let me explain. The European Union or the EU is an organisation made by some European countries to make things easier. The Eu has its own currency called the Euro. It is made so that countries dont have an economic crisis. If there is an economic crisis everybody is there to the rescue. The UK was also there in the Eu until 2020. That was the time when they decided to leave the EU. Europe is a very developed continent it exports 3 quarters of the world potatoes. Many nations are also in the NATO which stands for North Atlantic treaty organisation. Who ever attacks any countries in the NATO the other countries fight back. So this all the knowledge I have on the EU and a little bit on NATO. I will see you next time.
