Evolution of communication
THE OLDEN TIMES
•In the olden times messages were delivered by horse riders to other places. This was very hard as they had to cover a long distance and only taking short breaks. There were dharmashalas(resting houses) and tree side roads for the travelers. There were also step wells so the messengers can drink water. Soon there were pigeons which delivered messages. This was easier as all they had to do was tie the message to the pigeons leg.
TELEGRAPH
•Telegraphs were a huge help. It used Morse code for communicating. But everybody did not have a telegram. It was kind of a public communication system. You tell the message in the post office and they will use Morse code to deliver your message by telegram. The person on the other side will write it on a paper. It will be posted to the correct address by the postman.
TELEPHONe
•Telephones changed the lives of people. It was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. Telephones are even faster than telegrams. You can talk continuously to the other person from a speaker. It is heard on the other side. Telephones numbers were dialed with the dialer that had to be circled. Example if 8 is the starting number then you have to circle the dial 8 times. Now it is much easier as the number keys have come to the telephone.
MOBILE PHONES
Mobile phones are better than telephone. It can be kept in a pocket and it has many features such as texting , social media and video conferencing. Some of the mobile phones are also cheap. They are also easy to maintain.
